To One & All

As some of you have heard, I have resigned my position with Del Webb to pursue another opportunity. It is always hard to leave a place like this when you have established so many wonderful relationships and I feel that is the case, even with my short tenure in this lovely community. I know my departure is sooner than anticipated, but I would have left you in January anyway to take over leadership of the Del Webb Management Company. However, I have opted to take another career offer that will work best for me and for my family obligations, which have changed significantly of late.

I wish all of you only the best in the coming year. It will be one of great growth and great challenge, but I know that you are up for it. You have shown that every day in your business dealings and your caring ways regarding your community and your fellow residents. You have a terrific and very capable management staff working for you. They will make your jobs as volunteers much easier and they have the expertise to do the jobs you expect of them very well.

The Minuteman Foundation is the organization which provides the funding needed to support the activities of the Community Service Club. The Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) charity.

Residents wishing to avail themselves of the Community Service Club's services should call 614-5862

Services include:

  • Transportation: We will drive you to the local market or your medical provider
  • Equipment: We can loan you (on a temporary basis) a wheelchair, walker, or other durable medical equipment
  • Home Maintenance: We can assist you in minor home maintenance chores such as:
    • Cleaning or replacing overhead air filters
    • Replacing smoke alarm batteries
    • Changing overhead light bulbs
  • Home Assistance: Resource Directory of information on fee-based, discount, and many other services available to seniors. Volunteers will also shop & deliver groceries or medication to residents who are temporarily homebound.
  • Support Groups: The CSC sponsors several support groups to assist the residents of Sun City Anthem. These groups are:
    • Living “Well” with Disabilities (physical mobility)
    • Alzheimer’s Caregivers
    • Bereavement (non denominational)
    • One on one guidance through Jewish bereavement protocol
    • Friends of Bill W. (for recovering alcoholics)
    • Home Caregivers (for those caring for a loved one at home)
