Transition Committee Reports to the Community!
Monday, April 11, at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m.

The preliminary Transition Report will be presented to the community. Without question, these meetings are among the most important you will attend this year.

A complete report from the Transition Committee, including reports from the following:

  • Communications Task Force
  • Lifestyle Task Force
  • Facilities Task Force
  • Management Task Force
  • Finance Task Force will be presented.

You will learn what has been recommended, what is being prepared for implementation, and what has already been implemented.

Time will be allowed toward the end each meeting for your questions.

Sun City Anthem Community Association, Inc. Presents: Assemblywoman Sharron Angle
April 18, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.

Assemblywoman Sharron Angle, R-Reno, who has decided to take her Nevada-styled Prop 13 initiative directly to the voters will speak. Her presentation will be followed by a question and answer period.

In the April 4th edition of the
Anthem Compendium, Mrs. Angle stated: "I made a promise to the people, and I keep my promises." She adds, "I am fully committed to offering the voters a real choice at the ballot - my Nevada-styled Prop 13 as opposed to some elaborate façade that does not address the need for real property tax relief."


Sun City Anthem Choraliers Concert
April 21, 2005 7:00 p.m. Delaware Room

The ticket sales for the Americana concert performed by the Anthem Choraliers will go on sale Monday April 4, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the coffee shop in Anthem Center. Tickets will be available for sale every Monday, Wednesday, Friday through Wednesday, April 20 or until tickets are sold out. There will be only one performance and that is on Thursday, April 21, 7:00 p.m., Delaware Room (old theatre.) Tickets are $5.00.

Sun City Anthem Current Events/History Club
April 7, 2005 at 2:00 p.m.

The Current Events/History Club is pleased to present a forum for candidates running for the SCA Board of Directors. This special event will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7th in the Anthem Center. This should be a lively and informative discussion. Thursday is a very special day for the residents of Anthem with the grand opening of Building 2 and a chance to listen to our future leaders. All SCA residents are welcome.

The Minuteman Foundation is the organization which provides the funding needed to support the activities of the Community Service Club. The Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) charity.


Volunteers of the COMMUNITY SERVICE CLUB provide free assistance to Sun City Anthem residents. The services included are:

Transportation: To local area medical providers or supermarkets. Three (3) business days notice required to arrange for your ride.

Equipment: We will loan you (on a temporary basis) a wheelchair, walker, crutches, cane, or other durable medical equipment.

Home Maintenance: Assistance with minor home maintenance chores such as: cleaning or replacing overhead air filters, replacing batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors, or changing overhead light bulbs.

Home Assistance: Resource Directory of information on fee-based, discount, and many other services available to seniors. Volunteers will also shop and deliver groceries or prescription medication to residents who are temporarily homebound.

Support Groups: CSC sponsors several support groups to assist the residents of Sun City Anthem. These groups are:

  • Living “Well” with Disabilities (physical mobility)
    2nd Tuesday, 1—2:30 p.m., Anthem Center

  • Alzheimer’s Caregivers
    3rd Monday, 6:30—8:30 p.m., Wellness Center

  • Bereavement (non denominational) Wellness Center
    1st Saturday, 4—5:30 p.m.
    2nd Wednesday, 4:30—6:00 p.m.
    3rd Tuesday, 7—8:30 p.m.
    4th Wednesday, 4:30—6:00 p.m.

  • One on one guidance through Jewish bereavement protocol

  • One on one grief counseling for loss of a child

  • Friends of Bill W. (for recovering alcoholics)
    Every Monday, 7:00 p.m., Anthem Center

  • Home Caregivers (for those caring for a loved one at home)
    3rd Monday, 1:30—2:30 p.m., Anthem Center
