Finance Committee Seek Applicants
to Join the Committee

The recent election of Finance Committee Chairman Dave Weil to the Board of Directors has created an opening for a resident with financial experience to join the Committee. We are seeking a volunteer who is willing to give back to the community at a time when the Finance Committee is embarking on an ambitious project to implement the dozens of recommendations put forward as part of the transition to resident control of Sun City Anthem.

Volunteers must have been a resident of Sun City Anthem for at least one year and must commit to serve a two-year term on the Committee.

The ideal candidate is likely to have solid experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Practicing CPA
  • Manager of P&L for a significant department or corporation
  • Finance department manager or internal audit manager of a significant corporation or government agency
  • Manager of a department with a major expense or capital budget
  • Project manager with responsibility for an expense budget
  • Financial consultant or MIS consultant for financial systems of major corporate or government clients
  • Manager of cost centers and preparation of business budget
  • Accounting or finance professor at a college or university
  • Undergraduate and/or graduate with a degree in accounting or finance

Our new Committee member should have good business acumen, have good oral and written communication skills, be computer literate with some experience in using Microsoft Office applications such as email, Word and Excel and most importantly, be a team player.

The candidate is expected to attend monthly Committee meetings and, as necessary, workshops and Board meetings. He or she must have adequate time available to support the budgeting process, which is especially demanding from mid-August through the end of September.

If you are the person we are seeking to join our Finance Committee team, please submit your resume and any background information you wish to the Community Manager, Wendy Linow. This may be done by hand delivery to Wendy’s attention at the Administrative Offices in Anthem Center.
