Sun City Anthem Garden Club
Presents:
Controversies over tall trees
October 11, 2005 at 9:00 a.m.
Norm Shilling, Certified Arborist and former
Horticulture Supervisor of the UNLV Arboretum, is to be the
speaker for the Sun City Anthem Garden Club next Tuesday, 11
October, 9:00 a.m., Anthem Center. He will discuss options other
then the undesirable topping of trees, which inflicts permanent
damage.
Since this subject affects many in Sun City Anthem, all Sun City
Anthem residents are welcome to this meeting as visitors.
For my two cents, remember how our tract looked when we first
moved in? Without mature landscaping, which includes trees taller
than our one story homes, Anthem looked like so many cheap tract
houses.
Del Webb wisely put us under a ninety day gun to get our
landscaping finished. In my book, those of us who got some trees
up over our ridge lines, increased the value of all of our
neighbors properties.
Just my opinion.
