An Important Note About Home "Inspections"

It has come to our attention that there is an organization going door-to-door in some Sun City Anthem neighborhoods, offering free home inspections. This group is not associated with Pulte Homes/Del Webb. If there are ever items that need to be inspected at your residence, it is Del Webb's standard operating procedure to contact you directly, either by letter or phone. For your safety, the only individuals or companies that should be allowed access to your home for work or repair are those that you have personally contracted to do so, or, that you have personally arranged to do so with your Del Webb Customer Relations Manager.

If an individual or company ever claims over the phone or in person that they are doing work on behalf of Del Webb unbeknownst to you, please contact your Customer Relations Manager or a Del Webb representative immediately. We can then substantiate such a claim or investigate it further as needed. Please do not allow access into your home to such persons without first checking with Del Webb.

Furthermore, it is always a good policy to verify that contractors/individuals have proper identification, licensing and credentials before you allow them into your home. Besides confirming the company/identity for your personal safety, doing so will protect you from fraudulent activities. We’ve heard of instances where homeowners have been told that they will receive a “free” basic inspection, but then are asked to purchase a more extensive inspection, sign paperwork or provide personal information.

We caution you against letting any stranger into your residence. If you have home issues that you would like to address, contact us directly. We recommend that you do not risk your safety or potential damage to your home by accepting a "free" offer.

Another RIP-OFF

I assume that most of you received a letter from the National Deed Service, Inc. offering to obtain Certified Copy of your Property Deed for only $69.50!

  • A copy was mailed to you following recordation by the County Clerk.
  • I have sold many properties over the years, and have never had to present the recorded deed. That's what the Title Companies do for their services.

Don't fall for it!

Sherriff Candidates at Anthem
October 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.
Anthem Center's Hanneman Hall

Doug Gillespie and Jerry Airola will present their reasons for requesting your vote in probably the second most important local race. In Clark County Nevada, the Sherriff is an elected official that serves as the head of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Questions for the candidate will be solicited from the audience.

In 1973 the State of Nevada abolished the Las Vegas Police Department and the Clark County Sherriff's Department and created the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The agency is responsible for all police services within the City limits of the City of Las Vegas and the unincorporated areas of the County of Clark. A vast territory that ranges from Cactus Springs to Mesquite to Laughlin to Primm.

The total 2006 - 2007 budget for this organization is $466,475,681! Your money and mine.
