Sun City Anthem Computer Club presents:
May 3, 2007 at 1:30 p.m.
Freedom Hall
All SCA residents are invited
to attend an exciting meeting featuring the digital images and
computer work flow of Fish Tales Underwater Photography.
This meeting will be presented by two of our residents, Marna
Zanoff and Chuck Boxwell. Their images, photographed in oceans
around the world, have been exhibited, published and nationally
recognized. Their work is sold at juried art shows, aquariums,
stock photography agencies, galleries, and their website,
http://www.fishtalesphoto.com
Marna, a veteran artist, studied photography and painting in her
hometown of Washington, DC at the American University,
Washington Studio School and the Smithsonian Institution. Chuck
studied photography at the University of Colorado while pursuing
his architectural degree. Both Marna and Chuck have been
photographing the beauty of the sea for more than 16 years.

Sun City Anthem Opera Lovers Club
May 3, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.
Admission is free!
Independence Center's Freedom Hall
The Opera Lovers Club is
extending an invitation to all SCA members and their guests to
come and join us on Thursday, May 3, in Freedom Hall,
Independence Center at 7 p.m. We will be showing The Barber of
Seville by Rossini. This comic opera is performed by the
Glyndebourne Festival Opera with the London Philharmonic
Orchestra. and is sung in Italian with English sub-titles. It
stars John Rawnsley as Figaro.

Louis Anderson backstage at the Excalibur for a delightful
interview. Dianne Davis reviews "Goodfellas" and tells us where
we can catch this wonderful group of singers and musicians. Does
taking gelatin capsules help our nails and hair grow? Sue
Simecka and Amy Miracle reveal some interesting information on
the subject in "Nutrition Helps." Meg Poulson is on-hand to give
us a wellness "Stretch" and "Tip" of the Week. Cranky Critic,
Anita Rosen, gives us her review of the new movie, "The
Namesake." Lois Krashin, in her hilarious “Something to Think
About” segment gives us a warning about the “12 Things Never to
Say to a Cop”. The show concludes with Favil West's Board

The
Minuteman Foundation is the
organization which provides the funding needed to support the
activities of the Community Service Club. The Foundation is a 501
(c) (3) charity.
The goal of The
Minuteman Foundation is to
fund the many and diverse needs of the elderly in each and all of
our growing communities.
Pursuant thereto we have allied with the Community Service Club to
provide free assistance to SCA residents.
The services included are:
Transportation: To local
area medical providers or supermarkets. Three (3) business days
notice required to arrange for your ride.
Equipment: We will loan you (on a temporary basis) a
wheelchair, walker, crutches, cane, or other durable medical
equipment.
Home Maintenance: Assistance with minor home maintenance
chores such as: cleaning or replacing overhead air filters,
replacing batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide (CO)
detectors, or changing overhead light bulbs.
Home Assistance: Resource Directory of information on
fee-based, discount, and many other services available to seniors.
Volunteers will also shop and deliver groceries or prescription
medication to residents who are temporarily homebound.
Support Groups: CSC sponsors several support groups to
assist the residents of Sun City Anthem. These groups are:

Alzheimer’s Caregivers
3rd Monday, 6:30—8:30 p.m., Former Sewing Room

Bereavement
